Jake Mitts/Owner
Jake Mitts started his electrical career in 1998 by installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical installations on industrial space and make-up heaters at Cambridge Engineering.
Jake enrolled in the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Apprenticeship program in 2002 and began employment as an apprentice with an IEC electrical contractor. He quickly moved from apprentice to lead man; eventually becoming project manager.
Jake graduated the IEC in 2006 at the top of his class and was awarded Apprentice of the Year. He then went on to compete in the 2006 National Apprentice of the Year contest, and placed in the top five.
Jake received his Journeyman certificate in 2006 and his Master Electrician certificate in 2008.
Jake Mitts started Mitts Electric LLC in 2011, because he saw a need in the industry for an electrical contractor who wouldn’t just grow his business just for the sake of profits. For in the end, uncontrolled growth only sacrifices quality and the ability to offer a 'personal touch' that so many customers are searching for in the market today.
Most importantly, his business serves as a constant working example to his four children, that integrity, honesty, hard work and creativity are not relics of the past, but are alive and well at Mitts Electric LLC.
